Helpful Things you should Know

• We recommend you pre-register online.  This way you won’t have to wait in line to register at the Expo, and you will receive a FREE GIFT!  If you choose to register at the Expo, please be patient and prepared to wait in line.  Registration allows the wedding experts you meet that day to get in touch with you after the show. 

• Ask your fiance to come along. You will be much more comfortable making a decision and booking your wedding experts if you are together. The groom's participation in wedding planning is growing and is very important.  Bring your Mom, Dad, and even a couple of bridesmaids, too!

• Plan to spend up to three to four hours in order to see all the exhibits and the fashion show(s).

• Be prepared to receive special attention from our wedding specialists and possibly wear a "Bride-To-Be" or "Groom" button or sticker.

• Remember to bring a pen, a notebook, and a clipboard for a solid surface.  You will want to take notes and write clearly! If there is room, the best place to write notes about a wedding specialist is right on the literature they give you. It will help you after the show to keep them from melding into one another.

• If you are super-organized, bring a binder with envelopes and file tabs for each kind of wedding specialist (caterer, photographer, florist, DJ, etc.). Before you leave a booth, file the business cards and brochures appropriately. This will save you lots of time and effort later!

• Bring your Blackberry, Palm, or appointment book to record meetings you set up with wedding experts.

• Carry a lightweight tote to help store all your goodies.

• Come with an open mind. One of the best things about the Southern Oregon Wedding Expo is that it will give you an opportunity to see what's new and exciting.  You may get lots of ideas for things you may not have considered!

• Don't be embarrassed to ask lots of questions. That's why you are there! Our wedding specialists will be happy to share what they know with you. 

• Collect information from every wedding expert. Look it over in detail at home when you have some quiet time.

• Bring along your wedding color swatches.  You may get some awesome suggestions from wedding experts.

• If you have preprinted self-adhesive address labels, bring them! (OR, PRE-REGISTER FOR THE EXPO ONLINE AND GET THEM FOR FREE!)You will be asked for your name, address, phone number and wedding date countless times before the Expo ends. Labels will save you time and allow you to sign up for many of the prizes that our wedding experts give away! 

• Bring your Wedding Expo buddies and work together to cover all the territory!

• Wear comfortable shoes, as you'll be standing and talking to wedding experts for most of the day.

• The bridal fashion show is often the highlight of a show, so if you haven’t yet chosen your attire for the wedding, you may want to arrive early enough to get a really good seat and soak in those ideas!
